Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years of corporate accounting experience, or similar, in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience researching and applying technical accounting guidance (ASC 842, ASC 360, ASC 450).
• Experience reviewing, training, or mentoring staff-level accountants.
• ERP expertise, with SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and standardize month-end close tasks, including journal entries in SAP.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with policy.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and support schedules; ensure accuracy and timely resolution of reconciling items.
• Train, mentor, and serve as a resource to staff-level accountants on processes and policies.
• Research, document, and apply accounting treatments for technical matters (e.g., leases, fixed assets, contingencies).
• Identify and drive process improvements across close and reconciliations.
• Coordinate and monitor state/local tax filings with a third-party tax firm.
• Evaluate internal controls and related processes.
• Analyze financial results and collaborate with other departments for accurate information.
• Prepare information and support for external audits; prepare financial statements.
