What you will do
- Serve as the day-to-day financial partner for a portfolio of clients, managing full-cycle accounting including general ledger maintenance, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
- Deliver actionable insights to client leadership through variance analysis, trend reporting, and strategic recommendations tailored to each industry.
- Oversee payroll processing, sales tax filings, and accounts payable/receivable functions across multiple client entities.
- Collaborate with clients to build budgets, cash flow forecasts, and custom KPIs that drive real business decisions.
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize cloud-accounting technology stacks (QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, and similar tools) to streamline client workflows.
- Review and mentor junior staff, providing constructive feedback that raises the quality and accuracy of deliverables.
- Identify opportunities to expand the scope of services where clients have unmet financial needs.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a public accounting or client accounting services (CAS) environment.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client deadlines simultaneously with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
- CPA license or active progress toward CPA exam completion.
- Experience with Sage Intacct, Bill.com, or other cloud-based accounting platforms.
- Familiarity with multi-entity and multi-industry client portfolios.
- Prior experience reviewing or supervising junior accounting staff.
Pay and benefits
- Base salary: $75,000 - $95,000, depending on experience.
