Job summary

Vaco is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a full-time, onsite role in South Orange County, CA. The position involves ownership of cash management, AR/AP, reconciliations, inventory accounting, reporting, and audit support.

The ideal candidate will have strong operational accounting experience, thrive in a high-volume environment, and be able to manage recurring processes and deadlines. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and inventory-based industries is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in a hands-on role.
• Proficient in GL, reconciliations, AR/AP, and cash management.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash activity and record transactions in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
• Record cash receipts and investigate discrepancies.
• Process vendor invoices and manage accounts payable.
• Monitor AR aging and apply customer payments.
• Reconcile vendor activity and support inventory accounting.
• Prepare recurring financial reports and assist with month-end close.
• Support external audits with schedules and documentation.
• Ensure internal controls and accurate accounting records.
