Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant in Pasadena, CA for a full-time, on-site role within a growing wholesale/retail company. The Senior Accountant will manage cash applications, reconciliation, payables, and vendor management, contributing to accurate financial reporting and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible accounting experience, preferably in wholesale.
• Proficiency in cash applications, cash reconciliation, payables, and vendor management.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills with accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial analysis tools.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to present financial information clearly.
• Ability to work independently on large projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all cash applications and cash reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Managing payables and ensuring all financial obligations are met in a timely manner.
• Preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations and aligning accounting activities with laws and guidelines.
• Proactively analyzing financial data and presenting reports in a timely manner.
• Collaborating with the financial team and other business units to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participating in special projects and performing ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.
