Plooto is seeking a highly technical Senior Accountant to join our expanding Finance team. You will drive month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvements across the organization, with a focus on automation and scalable finance operations.

This role supports multi-entity, multi-currency activities and requires strong ASPE/IFRS knowledge. Ideal candidates have CPA progression, 3+ years of accounting experience, and a passion for leveraging AI and automation in finance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA completion.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with focus on financial accounting and audit support.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE and IFRS; experience in tech or payments SaaS strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Interest in process improvement, automation, and scalable finance operations.
• Comfort working in evolving, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Interest in AI, automation tools, or modern finance technology considered an asset.

Responsabilités

• Own core month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage full-cycle AP process including vendor invoices and payment runs.
• Prepare and review revenue recognition entries including deferred revenue.
• Maintain and reconcile prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and balance sheet schedules.
• Support payroll accounting and regulatory compliance considerations.
• Assist in audits, tax filings, and internal control improvements.
• Collaborate with BI and Engineering to automate reconciliations and reporting.
