Job summary

Branch Financial, LLC is building a technology-forward, data-driven finance team to revolutionize accounting for insurance programs. We are seeking a Senior Accountant who can lead month-end close, reconciliations, investment accounting, and state compliance reporting while driving AI-enabled automation initiatives.

You will help design and implement AI-powered processes, ensure GAAP compliance, and hand off automations with thorough documentation.

Qualifications

5+ years of corporate accounting experience managing close, reconciliations, and reporting.
Investment accounting experience or ability to learn quickly.
A four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Hands-on experience applying AI to real work.
Track record automating repetitive tasks and improving processes.
Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Own month-end close, reconciliations, and recurring reporting, delivered on deadline.
Own investment accounting, journal entries and schedules, and reconciliations.
Prepare and support state compliance filings and related forecasts.
Standardize new insurance program accounting and rationalize legacy processes.
Maintain GAAP, statutory, and internal controls across reporting.
Identify recurring work to automate using AI and implement solutions.
Map processes, prototype AI-enabled options, and lead implementation.
Deliver handoff documentation and training for sustained ownership.
