Lemonade, a leading AI-driven insurer, seeks a Senior Accountant to accelerate automation, transparency, and efficiency within the Finance team. You will own core close processes, post journal entries, manage accruals, and support audits in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes ownership over processes, cross-functional collaboration, and leveraging data/AI to drive insights while adhering to US GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in public or private accounting.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statements.
• Experience with month-end close processes.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Office environment attendance most days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and manage accrual schedules with accuracy and timeliness.
• Own monthly workbooks and take a leading role in key areas of the month and year-end close process.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliation schedules and perform P&L analytics that surface meaningful insights.
• Review supplier invoices and expense reports, keeping financial operations clean and compliant.
• Support cash-related transactions and broader financial operations processes.
• Drive quarterly and annual external audit requirements, acting as a reliable partner to auditors.
