Job summary

North American Crane & Rigging, LLC in Winter Garden, FL seeks a Senior Accountant to own daily accounting in Acumatica and drive close processes for a growing, family-owned company.

You will manage journal entries, GL reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll liaison, and prepare timely financial reports, budgets, and job costing while ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience; construction or industrial services preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, internal controls, full-cycle close, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with Acumatica ERP for reporting and close processes.

Responsibilities

• Own daily accounting in Acumatica: journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and payment tracking; assist with payroll entries.
• Drive month-end and year-end close and prepare timely, accurate financial reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, job costing, and multi-location reporting.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls; assist with audits and tax support.
• Collaborate with operations and management to provide accurate financial information and improve accounting processes that support growth.
• Provide backup support across the Administration & Finance team and complete special projects as assigned by the Director of Administration and Finance.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Administration and Finance, the Senior Accountant is an integral member of our Head Office team in Winter Garden, Florida, and the hands‑on owner of daily accounting in our Acumatica ERP. This is a role for a deeply experienced accountant who takes pride in precise execution — accurate entries, reliable reporting, and disciplined closes — and in helping the Company get the fullest value from Acumatica as we grow.

What You’ll Do

• Own daily accounting in Acumatica: journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and bank and account reconciliations
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and payment tracking; assist with payroll entries

What You Bring

• Acumatica:Demonstrated, hands-on proficiency with Acumatica ERP — required for this role
• 7+ years of progressive, professional accounting experience; construction or industrial services industry experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
• Strong command of GAAP, internal controls, full-cycle close, and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency across Microsoft Office
• Superior attention to detail, sound judgment, and discretion in handling confidential financial information
• A self-starter’s mindset — organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable rolling up your sleeves in a growing, evolving family-owned company
• The hiring range for this position in Winter Garden, FL is $135,000+ commensurate with experience, skills, and job-related knowledge
