Job summary

LHH partners with a growing food manufacturing and agricultural organization to hire a Senior Accountant who wants to understand the why behind the numbers and find smarter ways to work. This role offers cross‑functional visibility and a chance to drive meaningful process improvements beyond routine monthly closes.

You will own core GL activities, fixed asset and lease accounting, and partner with operational teams to improve efficiency and accuracy using NetSuite.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong general ledger and foundational accounting knowledge.
• Fixed asset and lease accounting experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices.
• Experience with NetSuite.
• Manufacturing, agriculture and/or CPG accounting experience beneficial.
• Experience identifying process improvements or automation opportunities.
• Ability to partner effectively with operations and non‑finance stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Collaborative yet autonomous work style.

Responsibilities

• Support general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Manage fixed assets and lease accounting, including schedules and reconciliations.
• Apply GAAP to day‑to‑day accounting activities.
• Partner with operations teams.
• Communicate accounting concepts to non‑finance partners.
• Clean up and optimize fixed asset and lease activity in NetSuite.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Analyze workflows to reduce errors and increase efficiency.
• Work cross‑functionally with plant controllers and CFO/Controller.

Are you a Senior Accountant who likes understanding the “why” behind the numbers and finding smarter ways to get the work done? LHH is partnering with a growing food manufacturing and agricultural organization looking for someone who brings strong accounting fundamentals, a forward-thinking mindset, and the confidence to identify process improvements instead of simply accepting that “this is how we’ve always done it.”

You will join a collaborative accounting organization supporting a vertically integrated premium dried-fruit business. You’ll work alongside cost accountants, plant controllers, staff accountants, AP, AR, shared services, FP&A, and operational partners. There are no direct reports today, making this an individual contributor opportunity with significant cross‑functional visibility.

What You’ll Get to Do

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll have the opportunity to own meaningful accounting work while helping the business improve processes, reduce manual work, and get more value from NetSuite.

• Support general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, month‑end close, and financial reporting
• Manage key areas of fixed asset accounting and lease accounting, including schedules and related reconciliations
• Apply strong accounting practices and U.S. GAAP principles to day‑to‑day accounting activities
• Partner closely with operations teams
• Communicate accounting concepts to non‑finance partners in a practical, easy‑to‑understand way
• Help clean up and optimize fixed asset and lease activity within NetSuite
• Identify Process Improvements and opportunities to automate manual accounting activities
• Analyze existing workflows with an eye toward reducing errors, improving efficiency, and creating more scalable processes
• Work cross‑functionally with plant controllers, operational leaders, the CFO, Assistant Controller, and other accounting professionals
• Bring curiosity, independent thinking, and a forward‑thinking approach to how accounting can better support the business

What You Bring

You will pair technical accounting knowledge with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in improving the way things work.

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with additional experience welcomed
• Strong general ledger and foundational accounting knowledge
• Hands‑on fixed asset and lease accounting experience
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices
• Experience with NetSuite
• Manufacturing, agriculture and/or CPG accounting experience is beneficial
• Experience identifying process improvements, automation opportunities, or more efficient accounting workflows
• Ability to partner effectively with operations and other non‑finance stakeholders
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and professional communication skills
• A collaborative personality combined with the ability to take ownership and think independently

You will enjoy a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days working from home following the first 30 days of onsite training. The accounting team offers flexibility around start times
