Job summary

Jobot is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join a growing healthcare services organization in the San Francisco area. This permanent role offers a salary of $100,000 to $120,000 per year and comprehensive benefits.

The Senior Accountant will manage daily accounting operations, ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting, and support audits, forecasting, and close processes. CPA preferred and 5+ years of experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA certification preferred.
• 5+ years accounting experience.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems, especially NetSuite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including month-end close, AP/AR, cash receipts, GL, payroll and related tasks.
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all accounting tasks.
• Prepare financial statements and budgets according to schedule.
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Develop and document accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Participate in forecasting and standards setting, and support month-end/year-end close.

Our client is a growing privately held organization in the healthcare services industry, supporting operations across multiple location. Their business continues to expand and they're currently are looking for a hands-on Senior accountant to join the team.

Responsibilities

1. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
2. Ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.
3. Preparing financial statements and producing budget according to schedule.
4. Directing internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
5. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
6. Participating in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
7. Providing input into department's goal setting process.
8. Preparing financial statements and producing budget according to schedule.
9. Support month-end and year-end close process.

Qualifications

1. A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
2. CPA certification is preferred.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
4. Solid experience with Oracle NetSuite or equivalent ERP systems; implementation experience is a plus.
5. Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.
6. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
7. Experience with creating financial statements and financial reporting.
8. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
9. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
10. Accuracy and attention to detail.
11. Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
12. Experience with loans and equity is preferred.
13. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
