Job summary

Jobot is hiring a Senior Accountant in New York, NY for a hybrid, permanent role within a rapidly growing SaaS company. You will own the close process, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, analyze variances, and support revenue recognition and audits as the business scales.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, and a CPA license or on track. Big 4 experience in a growth-stage tech company is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Own and support key areas of the monthly and quarterly close.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals & schedules.
• Analyze activity, investigate variances and unusual transactions.
• Assist with financial reporting and statements.
• Support revenue recognition and technical accounting matters.
• Perform flux analysis and communicate findings to Finance leadership.
• Help develop and improve accounting processes, controls and procedures.
• Partner with Finance and other teams across the organization.
• Support audit and external reporting requirements.
• Assist with accounting projects related to the company's growth.

Job Details

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance & Accounting team. This person will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month-end close, and helping strengthen accounting processes as the company continues to scale.

Looking for Big 4 CPA's with experience in growth stage companies (think Series B-D).

What You'll Do

1. Own and support key areas of the monthly and quarterly close process
2. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules

4. Assist with financial reporting and preparation of financial statements
5. Support revenue recognition and other technical accounting matters
6. Perform detailed flux analysis and communicate findings to Finance leadership
7. Help develop and improve accounting processes, controls, and procedures
8. Partner cross-functionally with Finance and other teams across the organization
9. Support audit and other external reporting requirements
10. Assist with accounting projects related to the company's continued growth

What We're Looking For

• 2-5 years of accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA license or on track
• Big 4 public accounting experience
• Experience working in a SaaS, software, or technology company within a growth-stage or venture-backed environment, ideally Series B or later.
