Jobot in Florida is seeking a Senior Accountant for a long-term contract with a fast-paced software company. Remote option is available for candidates in the EST time zone. Salary ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 per year.

You will support multi-entity accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT filings, and system improvements using NetSuite, Excel, and automation tools. The role includes base pay plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role with strong reconciliation, accrual, and close skills.
• VAT experience is a plus and exposure to multi-entity/international accounting.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems such as NetSuite; interest in AI/automation is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Calculate bonus accruals and payments with supporting documentation.
• Support month-end close, journal entries, and monthly financial analysis.
• Coordinate VAT filings across international entities and jurisdictions.
• Assist with accounting system initiatives including ADP implementation.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows using NetSuite, automation, and AI tools.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items.
• Calculate bonus accruals and payments, ensuring accurate accounting and supporting documentation.
• Support month-end close, journal entries, and month-over-month financial analysis.
• Coordinate VAT filings and other required filings across international entities and jurisdictions.
• Support accounting compliance requirements, insurance renewals, and related documentation.
• Assist with the ADP implementation and other accounting system and process initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows using NetSuite, automation, and AI-assisted tools.

Ideal Background

• Experience in a Senior Accountant or comparable accounting role with strong reconciliation, accrual, and close skills.
• Exposure to multi-entity or international accounting; VAT experience is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP.
• Ability to manage deadlines, maintain accurate documentation, and work independently in a remote team.
• Interest in applying AI and automation to accounting analysis and routine processes.
• Public accounting and system implementation experience are helpful.
