Our client is an organization in the greater Minneapolis area looking for a Senior Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 2+ years of accounting experience, a problem solver and strong attention to detail. This company offers strong culture, with flexibility, and a hybrid work environment.

The salary range for this position is $75k-95k

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interpret and analyze operating results, communicating key insights and trends to management.
• Provide support to internal stakeholders through ad-hoc financial analysis and participation in special projects.
• Prepare and process monthly accounting entries in accordance with US GAAP.
• Identify, research, and explain variances between actual results and budget/forecast.
• Analyze large datasets using advanced spreadsheet and database tools to produce actionable insights.
• Develop and document accounting treatments for international entities and their subsidiaries under US GAAP.
• Support the annual financial audit by preparing audit workpapers and collaborating with external auditors.
• Perform and review general ledger account reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies in line with company policy.
• Assist in the creation and refinement of business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

The Senior Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field
• 2+ years of related accounting experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
