Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 2-5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Inventory experience.
• ERP experience with Sage 100, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Review journal entries and accruals prepared by a global shared services team.
• Support the monthly close process.
• Review trial balances and prepare monthly reporting schedules.
• Own intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and management fee entries.
• Perform weekly inventory reconciliations and prepare inventory adjustment entries.
• Partner with Operations to ensure accurate inventory reporting and inventory controls.
• Support inventory accounting activities related to raw materials and finished goods.
• Set up payments and prepare wire requests for approval.
• Administer employee expense reporting and reimbursements.
• Support annual audits and prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Identify and implement accounting and process improvement opportunities.

Senior Accountant (Contract-to-Hire)

Manhattan, NY (Hybrid After Training)

$90,000-$115,000 ($43-55/hr)

We're partnering with a growing organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join its U.S. Finance team. This Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, inventory accounting, intercompany accounting, and financial operations while partnering closely with leadership, operations teams, and a global shared services team. The role offers broad exposure to accounting, inventory management, treasury activities, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

The ideal Senior Accountant has strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on ERP experience, and an interest in working within an inventory-focused environment. This Senior Accountant will work closely with Operations to support inventory reconciliations, inventory adjustments, and inventory-related accounting activities while helping improve existing processes. Candidates who are eager to learn, take ownership, and grow their accounting careers will be well-positioned for success.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting


• 2-5 years of accounting experience accounting


• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations


• Inventory experience


• Manufacturing, distribution, packaging, consumer products, or other inventory-based industry experience preferred


• Experience working cross-functionally with Operations teams


• Hands-on ERP experience, including Sage 100, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, or similar systems


• Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Sage 100 experience


• CPA or CPA-track candidate


• Experience working with shared services or offshore accounting teams
