Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage a broad, hands-on role covering general ledger, financial reporting, inventory, and cash forecasting, with support for AP/AR close.

The position is hybrid with three days in the office, offering a balanced schedule and normal 40-hour weeks even during close. Ideal candidate will have US GAAP knowledge and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Strong Excel skills with lookups, pivot tables and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and support monthly and year-end close.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for the parent company.
• Reconcile inventory, maintain related reserves, and account for sales and inventory transactions.
• Maintain the fixed asset subledger, including capitalization, depreciation and roll-forward schedules.
• Prepare intercompany billings, reconcile balances, and coordinate payments and confirmations.
• Manage cash forecasting and related management reporting.
• Support internal and external audits, tax audits, and preparation of tax return supporting schedules.
• Improve accounting processes, document procedures, and strengthen internal controls.
