Responsibilities include overseeing the general ledger, month-end and year-end closes, preparing budgets and forecasts, conducting variance analyses, and strengthening internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years post graduate experience in business.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience.
• CPA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee general ledger and ensure timely recording of transactions.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end close, reconcilitions, and journal entries.
• Assist in budgets and forecasts with insights and recommendations.
• Conduct variance analysis with explanations for discrepancies.
• Ensure internal controls and financial policy compliance; implement improvements.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide documentation.
• Support the finance team with special projects to improve processes.

Job Purpose:The Senior Accountant at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and the overall efficiency of financial processes.
