Job summary

We are partnered with a leading food distribution company seeking a Senior Accountant in Irvine, CA to drive monthly close, financial reporting and audit support. You will analyze variances, prepare reports, and collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to improve processes and controls.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment onsite in Irvine.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with financial data.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Based in Irvine, CA or willing to commute to onsite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Coordinate external audit activities and assist with audit preparation.
• Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial data.
• Prepare financial reports and variance analyses for management.
• Support compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams on key initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
• Assist with system enhancements, automation projects, and reporting improvements.
