Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant to join our client's team on a contract basis. You will work closely with the Controller and Accounts Payable to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and special projects.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple systems in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include journal entries, month-end close, GAAP compliance, and ad hoc reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience preparing and posting journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger activity.
• Perform month-end and year-end close responsibilities.
• Support GAAP-compliant accounting and financial reporting processes.
• Analyze financial data and assist with ad hoc reporting requests.
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, and operational departments.
• Work across multiple accounting and operational systems to gather and validate financial information.
