Job summary

Monti Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee complex accounting activities and partner with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The role supports monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and drives continuous improvement across accounting functions. You will mentor junior staff, manage journal entries and reconciliations, and collaborate with tax teams on liabilities while contributing to budgeting and forecasting efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • CPA designation a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Analyze financial statements and investigate variances, trends, and discrepancies.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Work with external tax teams to review liabilities.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and financial objectives.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned.

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and performing complex accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. This role partners with internal departments to provide financial analysis, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting function.

Education and Experience
