Job summary

Talently in Dallas is seeking a detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to support monthly close, general ledger activities, and accurate financial reporting for a growing real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of US GAAP experience, and hands-on ASC606/ASC842 work, with NetSuite and Yardi proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Technical accounting experience with ASC606 and ASC842
  • Hands-on general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations and balance sheets
  • Advanced Excel experience
  • Experience using ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite and Yardi
  • Strong numeracy, analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and support the month-end close process.
  • Perform general ledger analysis and maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Apply revenue recognition guidance under ASC 606 and lease accounting under ASC 842.
  • Review accounts payable transactions and ensure proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with corporate financial reporting, annual audits, tax support, and external audit requests.
  • Partner with finance, operations, and asset management teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Support process improvements, accounting system enhancements, and internal control initiatives.
  • Assist with special projects and other corporate accounting responsibilities as needed.
