Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–5 years of accounting experience in real estate or investment firms.
• Knowledge of GAAP and full accounting cycle.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on more responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Support monthly and quarterly financial close.
• Perform bank and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with AP/AR and expense processing.
• Support accounting for real estate investment entities.
• Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, and equity transactions.
• Assist with investor, lender, audit, and tax requests.
• Prepare and maintain Excel trackers and financial reports.
• Learn and use new technology, AI, and automation tools.

Junior Accountant

Location: Beverly Hills, CA 90212 (Onsite- Must be local)

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 depending on experience

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday |

About the Role

We are seeking a Jr Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team supporting a growing real estate investment company.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Support monthly and quarterly financial close.
• Perform bank and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with AP/AR and expense processing.
• Support accounting for real estate investment entities.
• Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, and equity transactions.
• Support cash management, distributions, and bank activity.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with investor, lender, audit, and tax requests.
• Prepare and maintain Excel trackers and financial reports.
• Assist with accounting projects and process improvements.
• Learn and use new technology, AI, and automation tools.

Required Qualifications

• 1-5 years of accounting experience; open to slightly less or more for the right candidate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience working in Real Estate or a related corporate accounting environment, such as private equity or other investment firms.
• Knowledge of GAAP and the full accounting cycle.
• Must have general accounting experience and not just AP clerk
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.
• Experience with an accounting/ERP system.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Strong communication skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Motivated to grow and take on additional responsibilities.

Bonus Qualifications

• Real estate or property accounting experience.
• Experience with private equity, investment firms, or other real estate-related companies.
• Sage Intacct experience.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting.
• Exposure to acquisitions/dispositions, investor accounting, or distributions.
• Experience with Juniper Square or similar platforms.
