Kforce is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting in Baltimore, MD to support financial statement preparation, regulatory reporting, and month-end close. You will ensure U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience preparing financial statements and reconciliations.
• Experience supporting month-end and year-end close.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support internal and external financial reporting requirements.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Analyze financial statement fluctuations and investigate variances.
• Prepare financial statement footnotes, disclosures, and management reporting packages.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
• Coordinate audit requests and provide supporting documentation for auditors.
• Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new standards.
• Partner with FP&A, Accounting, and business leaders to explain financial results.
• Support SOX compliance, governance, and internal control activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, automation, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Kforce's client in Baltimore, MD that is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to support the preparation of financial statements, regulatory reporting, month-end close activities, and technical accounting compliance. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP, supporting audits, and partnering with Finance and business teams to deliver meaningful financial insights. The ideal candidate has strong financial reporting experience, excellent analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules
• Support internal and external financial reporting requirements
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses
• Analyze financial statement fluctuations and investigate variances
• Prepare financial statement footnotes, disclosures, and management reporting packages

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of accounting, financial reporting, or public accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience preparing financial statements and account reconciliations
• Experience supporting month-end and year-end close processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification or CPA candidate
• SEC reporting experience
• Experience supporting SOX compliance and audit activities
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Workday
• Public accounting or corporate financial reporting background

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
