Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly close with journal entries and account reconciliations across accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany activity.
  • Perform balance sheet and P&L analysis and investigate variances.
  • Review expense activity and prepare adjusting entries for accurate reporting.
  • Manage intercompany accounting and related receivable/payable balances.
  • Assist with external audit requests and documentation.
  • Maintain SOX controls and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and finance partners on accruals and close activities.
  • Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc analyses.

Kforce's client, a well-established, publicly traded organization located in the Waltham, MA area is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support general ledger accounting, month-end close, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and audit requirements. This hybrid position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong GAAP knowledge and experience working in a deadline-driven corporate environment. The client offers a competitive compensation package and hybrid schedule. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the monthly close process through preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations across areas such as accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany activity

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 4-5+ years of accounting experience within a publicly traded company
  • Experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close
  • Experience supporting quarterly and annual external audits
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Knowledge of fixed assets, accrual accounting, prepaid expense amortization, intercompany accounting, and expense analysis

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
