Cox Consulting Network has been exclusively retainedby a dynamic, entrepreneurial, publicly traded, technology development companyin its search for a Senior Accountant. The position is hybrid, with 3 days/weekin the office. The company is based in north Austin, Texas.

OPPORTUNITY

The Senior Accountant will be a critical member ofthe hardworking, tight-knit team and will contribute to the overall success ofthe company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GAAP andcorporate accounting processes; SEC reporting experience is a plus. This roleplays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance withregulatory requirements, and supporting internal and external audits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare monthly, quarterly,and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Assist with SEC filings(10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.) and related disclosures.
• Support the month-end andyear-end close process including journal entries, accruals, andreconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledgerand ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Collaborate with FP&A,internal audit, tax, and other departments to ensure consistency andaccuracy.
• Analyze financial data andtrends; provide insights and recommendations to management.
• Ensure compliance with SOXinternal controls; assist in documentation and testing.
• Coordinate with externalauditors and provide required documentation for audits and quarterlyreviews.
• Support special projectsincluding M&A accounting, system implementations, and processimprovements.
• Providetraining to staff and personnel in other departments when appropriate
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree inAccounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred).
• 4–6+ years of relevantaccounting experience; public company experience preferred.
• Big 4 or national publicaccounting firm experience a plus.
• Deep understanding of U.S.GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Strong Excel and NetSuite ERPskills.
• Detail-oriented with stronganalytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independentlyand as part of a cross-functional team.
• Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills.
• Experience with SEC filingsoftware.
• Exposure to SOX complianceand internal control environments.
• Experience in a fast-paced,high-growth company.
• Broad knowledge of accountingprinciples, practices and procedures.
• Must have good organizationalskills, excellent judgment, and discretion to handle confidential information.
