Job Summary/Objective
The Sr. Accountant is responsible for assisting the Corporate Controller in a variety of financial and accounting facets with a high standard of quality, accuracy. Additionally, this person will possess a strong understanding of GAAP and able to work autonomously in a fast pace and evolving work environment. This position will be able to work from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries as required and in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare and maintain account reconciliations as required and in accordance with GAAP.
- Support all Accounts Receivable functions. Additionally, as the company grows, explore, identify, and execute systematic automated solutions to scale with the growth.
- Monitor and track cash flows for all bank accounts and preform necessary reconciliation to tie cash receipts for various cash pay programs.
- Manage all aspects of fixed assets including tracking project costs while working with department management, performing asset retirements, carrying out periodic asset reviews, and recommending updates to accounting policies.
- Assists with the financial and banking audits.
- Perform a variety of ad hoc requests as assigned.
- Work with and support cross-functional teams as necessary.
- Assist with the preparation and maintaining of the monthly financial reporting package.
- Provide necessary information to explain variances.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- BS in Accounting
- 3-5+ years progressive experience in accounting with 3+ years AR functions preferred.
- Strong analytical and accounting skills.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, ERP systems and Accounting/ Financial software package. Preferred experience in Oracle NetSuite.
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.
- The individual will be expected to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of his / her work product. The individual will work closely with various functional leaders.
