Job summary

FirstCall Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to support new partner integrations, transitioning for 90–100 days post-acquisition. The role focuses on consolidating accounting processes, ensuring accurate US GAAP reporting, and coordinating with the Integration Controller to align financial close practices.

You will work with the accounting team and vendors, applying ASC 606, and drive process improvements within the finance function while travel of ~20% is expected for site integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting/finance experience.
• Understanding of the financial close process and journal entries.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 accounting.
• Experience with multiple accounting systems.
• Background in trades environment (construction/HVAC) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monthly US GAAP reporting including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with vendors on Purchase Price Accounting and QoE rollforward.
• Maintain proper accounting procedures and documentation.
• Collaborate with office administration and provide accounting guidance.

SR. ACCOUNTANT

The Role

We are hiring an Sr. Accountant to support our new partners with a successful transition to becoming a FirstCall operating company. This role will work closely with our Integration Controller to support a new company’s integration into FirstCall’s accounting organization for the first 90-100 days post-acquisition.

Job Overview

• Monthly financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, including all journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliation schedules
• Communication with 3rd party vendors on the Purchase Price Accounting and Quality of Earnings rollfoward
• Maintaining proper accounting procedures and controls and related documentation
• Working with office administration team and providing accounting guidance
• Implementing process improvements in the finance functions

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

This position will report to the Integration Controller.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• Understanding of financial close process including the preparation journal entries, reconciliation schedules and financial statement package
• Deep understanding of percentage of completion (ASC 606) accounting
• High degree of professionalism and strong sense of ownership and pride in your work
• Experience with multiple accounting systems
• Background in trades environment: construction, electrical, HVAC, a plus
