Job summary

Flatiron Construction Corp in Atlanta is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to bring a strategic approach to analyzing financial information and preparing accurate reports, ensuring informed business decisions.

You will compile journal entries, reconcile accounts, assist audits, and contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting packages, with opportunities to lead process improvements and support the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• At least 3 years of related accounting experience.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytics and trend analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial information in order to transact journal entries to the general ledger.
• Review and reconcile financial information in detail for balance sheet accounts.
• Identify and resolve reconciling differences for various accounts.
• Provide oversight of bank account reconciliation process.
• Responsible for preparation, coordination, and input of assigned month-end closing schedules and entries.
• Prepare and distributes of monthly & quarterly financial reporting packages.
• Assist with interim and annual external audits.
• Perform progress pay estimate billings for all companies as assigned.
• Provide periodic overload assistance and special project investigation as directed by the Accounting Manager, Tax Manager or Assistant Corporate Controller.

What we are looking for
