Senior Account Executive, Ancillary Benefits

About SPG Ancillary, a division of Specialty Program Group: SPG Ancillary, a subsidiary of HUB International, aims to solve problems, improve experiences, and produce results for brokers, carriers, and benefits technology partners. We focus on innovation, collaboration, and empowerment to achieve results. Our expertise includes dental, vision, life, disability, and supplemental health, as well as leave management. The organization comprises four teams: marketing, client service, leave solutions, and operations, supporting various functions from account support to compliance.

Position Overview: The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ancillary products, leave management, and experience in carrier or brokerage account management. They will coordinate large case services with marketing, manage ongoing accounts, renewals, and case implementations. Attention to detail and prioritization are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service large group clients, acting as the main broker contact.
  • Use expertise in ancillary benefits and leave management to address issues, advocate for clients, and support inquiries, amendments, escalations, renewals, marketing, and implementation.
  • Manage end-to-end case implementation.
  • Lead renewal processes, identify benefit enhancements, and explore revenue opportunities.
  • Follow best practices and SLAs to ensure quality and timely service.
  • Document activities and outcomes in CRM for seamless team collaboration.
  • Build relationships with internal teams, brokers, and carriers.
  • Support billing processes to ensure accurate revenue collection.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives under leadership guidance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 5-10 years of experience in account management or service roles within carriers or brokerages.
  • Knowledge of ancillary products and leave management.
  • Active life, accident, and health licenses.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated with minimal oversight.
  • Adaptability and prioritization skills.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn.
  • Team-oriented mindset.

Work Details: This is a fully remote position within your local time zone, with optional access to a local office.

Salary Range: $175,000 - $220,000, influenced by skills, experience, location, and business specifics. Benefits include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA, 401(k), paid time off, bonuses, equity, and commissions.
