Responsibilities
- Own and drive the full sales cycle, with a focus on enterprise B2B accounts in financial services, legal, and related sectors.
- Collaborate closely with trusted channel and referral partners (60–70% inbound), acting as the primary point of contact to move opportunities forward from introduction through close.
- Proactively identify and pursue new outbound opportunities (30–40%) in target verticals, leveraging your network and prospecting skills.
- Qualify leads, conductdiscovery, manage objections, and tailor solutions to client needs-especially around compliance, security, and C-suite use cases.
- Push for pilots and proof-of-concept engagements, navigating resistance and helping prospects recognize the value of next-generation secure messaging and compliance tools.
- Work cross-functionally with technical sales engineers and leadership to ensure smooth handoff and support during technical conversations and demos.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement, with the opportunity to help build out the sales function asthe businessgrows.
Must Have Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally as an individual contributor (“hunter” profile) in enterprise software, SaaS,messaging,or cybersecurity.
- Demonstrated success selling into financial services/fintech (strongly preferred), healthcare, or legalverticals.
- Proven ability to drive pilots and close deals in new technology markets-comfortable handling resistance and navigating long sales cycles (3–6 months typical).
- Experience working with or through channel/partner networks; able to build trust and move deals forward in a partner-driven sales model.
- Familiarity with secure messaging, communications, or compliance solutions (e.g., Salesforce, Slack, Teams, Wicker, or similar platforms).
- Self-starter with a startup mindset: resourceful, proactive, and able to operate with limited direction.
- Strong objection handling, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
- Undergraduate degree required; strong executive presence and ability to engage with C-suite stakeholders.
- Proficient with HubSpot CRM (or similar).
Pluses
- Experience in cryptography or technical security conversations (not required, but helpful).
- Previous startup or high-growth company experience.
- Experience selling into healthcare, finance,or regulated utilities.
- Book of business or strong network in fintech or financial services.
- Experience with international salesis a plus.
Compensation
- Base salary: $85,000–$100,000+(DOE)
- Commission: 7–8% (uncapped, with realistic OTE $250,000–$300,000+)
- Additional kickers and incentives for exceeding targets
- Possibility for equity as the company grows
