Job summary

Lumen seeks an Account Director Senior for Public Sector accounts, including DoD and Federal Civilian agencies. You will develop account plans, pursue opportunities, and coordinate internal teams to deliver technology solutions that support customer missions.

Role requires strong government sales experience, disciplined account management, and expertise navigating procurement processes. Travel is required as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Federal agency relationships and proven success selling complex mission solutions.
• Strong understanding of government procurement policies and contract vehicles.
• Experience building account plans and managing executive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic account plans for Public Sector accounts, including profiling and growth.
• Identify, qualify, and advance new sales opportunities through RFx evaluation and proposals.
• Build and grow customer relationships to retain revenue and expand spend.
• Navigate procurement processes and contract vehicles relevant to accounts.
• Coordinate with internal partners to support account strategy and pursuit execution.
• Develop customer proposals and business case materials addressing requirements.
• Manage Salesforce funnel with forecasts and revenue outlooks.
• Travel as needed for customer engagements.
