Job summary

Lumen, a leading network and AI-ready connectivity company, seeks a Senior Director of Sales for Public Sector Strategic in the United States. You will own revenue growth, executive engagement, and outcomes across strategic Public Sector customers, including federal and regional agencies.

The role requires deep government procurement expertise and cross-functional leadership to deliver differentiated, platform-based solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of sales and business development experience in telecom, technology, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, or related industries.
• Experience shaping Public Sector opportunities before solicitation release (IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, state contracts).
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quota.
• Experience navigating complex procurement environments (RFPs, contract vehicles, multi-year cycles).
• Experience leading teams in highly complex customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Create multi-year growth strategies for top Public Sector customers and transition to outcome-based solutions.
• Own strategic account planning, executive engagement, and long-term customer value.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with system integrators, OEMs, cloud providers, and alliance partners.
• Lead cross-functional selling and data-driven decision making aligned to digital future.
• Drive pipeline management, forecast accuracy, and revenue objectives.
• Collaborate across engineering, marketing, operations, policy, and legal to support account strategies.
