Job summary

Lumen is seeking an Account Director Senior to drive sales and relationships within Federal Public Sector accounts, including DoD and related agencies. You will develop strategic account plans, manage executive stakeholders, and navigate procurement processes to deliver technology solutions aligned with mission priorities.

You will coordinate with multiple internal teams, build proposals, and manage a robust Salesforce funnel while expanding revenue through cross-sell opportunities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Federal agency relationships and proven success selling complex mission solutions.
• Knowledge of government procurement processes, contract vehicles, and acquisition cycles.
• Experience building account plans and managing executive-level customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned Public Sector accounts and stakeholders.
• Identify, qualify, and advance new sales opportunities through RFx, proposals, and coordinated pursuit planning.
• Build and grow customer relationships to expand revenue and cross-sell opportunities.
• Navigate government procurement policies and contracting vehicles for aligned solutions.
• Present compelling value propositions across telecom, IT, and managed services offerings.
• Coordinate with internal partners to support account strategy and pursuit execution.
• Create proposals and business cases addressing technical, contractual, and commercial needs.
• Maintain Salesforce funnel with weekly forecasts and quota attainment.
• Stay current on technology trends and customer modernization priorities; travel as needed.
