Team Carney, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accessibility Subject Matter Expert to act as the strategic authority for Section 508 compliance and accessibility governance for a federal client.

You will perform high-level testing of web content and documents, review results, and guide acquisition by evaluating VPATs/ACRs and advising leadership on accessibility risks throughout the SDLC. This is a full-time, remote role based from Fredericksburg, VA.

Qualifications

• Active IAAP CPACC Certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 7+ years of ICT experience.
• 2+ years testing web content for Section 508 conformance.
• 2+ years testing and remediating documents to Section 508 standards.
• 3+ years supporting ICT projects with 508 requirements across the SDLC.
• Strong quality checks and peer review experience for 508 testing.
• Experience evaluating VPATs/ACRs for hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-level Section 508 testing of web content and documents.
• Review test results and provide end-to-end remediation guidance.
• Evaluate ACRs/VPATs and advise on accessibility risks across the SDLC.
• Serve as an operational backup to the Government Section 508 Program.
