Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial electronic security experience.
• Proficient in access control hardware and software.
• Experience programming/configuring access control systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot field hardware and software/issues.
• Strong customer communication and independent field work.
• Willingness to travel throughout New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial access control systems.
• Diagnose controllers, readers, power supplies, locks, doors, and network issues.
• Troubleshoot access control software and network related issues.
• Program and configure access control systems.
• Perform system upgrades, modifications, and expansions.
• Respond to service calls and resolve issues with customers.
• Complete system testing to verify proper operation.
• Read wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, technicians when needed.
• Document service work and materials used.
• Provide guidance to less experienced technicians.
