Job summary

Allied Universal Technology Services seeks a Senior Service Technician to service, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot access control equipment and IP-based video systems at commercial sites in California. You will work with electrified and non-electrified locks, readers, cameras, and related devices, reading schematics and CAD drawings as needed.

The role requires a High School degree and 5+ years of field experience, with knowledge of various platforms.

Qualifications

• High School Degree, Vocational School or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of field experience.
• Experience with access control platforms preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and CAD drawings.
• Understanding of Windows OS and IT networks.
• Willingness for on-call duties and travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Travel to commercial client sites to service, repair, and troubleshoot access control equipment and IP-based video systems.
• Troubleshoot installations and identify issues, applying effective resolutions.
• Document service issues for tracking and reporting.
• Read electrical schematics and CAD drawings for low-voltage projects.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
• Provide remote diagnostics and on-site support as needed.
• Operate company vehicle to client sites and other duties as assigned.
