UC San Diego is seeking an Academic HR Analyst 2 in the Visual Arts department. The role provides policy guidance to supervisors and manages complex academic personnel matters, including recruitment, appointments, visas, and faculty records.

The position requires deep knowledge of UC policies, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion, while coordinating with Chairs and the Chief Administrative Officer.

Qualificações

• Experience with and in-depth knowledge of policies and procedures governing academic personnel.
• Ability to interpret and apply University policies and regulations related to academic personnel, including visas and appointments.
• Experience compiling documentation for complex personnel files under deadlines.
• Ability to explain benefits and pay rates to faculty and staff.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws relevant to academia.

Responsabilidades

• Act as principal advisor to Chair and CAO on academic affairs within Visual Arts.
• Coordinate recruitment, appointments, visas, and recalls for ladder-rank faculty and lecturers.
• Ensure compliance with Academic Affairs policies and provide policy interpretation at faculty meetings.
• Develop, analyze and implement departmental policies; identify solutions to complex issues.
