North Carolina Central University (NCCU) seeks a Senior Academic Advisor to lead and coordinate advising activities for University College students. The role includes organizing group sessions, orientation events, and open houses, as well as shaping advising communications and policy documents.

You will continue to provide individual academic advisement through meetings, workshops, and presentations covering majors, degree requirements, progression, and course selection.

Qualificações

• Requires bachelor’s degree in counseling or related field plus 2-3 years of related experience.
• Master’s degree in education, counseling, or similar field preferred; 3-5 years in higher education advising or student services.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate advising programs (group sessions, orientation, open House events).
• Oversee advising communication (website, syllabus, emails, brochures).
• Manage advising procedures (handbooks, contact sheets, policies, student files).
• Provide one-on-one advising to NCCU University College students (freshmen, sophomores, transfers).
