Knight & Associates, LLC is seeking a senior Asset-Based Lending professional to lead and expand an established ABL platform in the Bay Area with a national expansion focus.

The role blends business development, portfolio management, and team leadership, with opportunity to influence credit practices, product strategy and operating infrastructure to support growth and access to capital.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of commercial banking experience with substantial direct ABL experience.
• Proven ability to originate ABL transactions and develop referral relationships.
• Strong ABL credit, underwriting, transaction structuring and portfolio management skills.
• Experience with accounts receivable and inventory collateral, borrowing-base monitoring and seasonal financing needs.
• Ability to develop staff and collaborate with senior leadership to grow the business.

Responsibilities

• Originate new ABL relationships through an established referral network, initially focused on the Bay Area and expanding across the Western United States.
• Manage key borrower relationships and oversee transaction structure, credit quality and portfolio performance.
• Lead and develop relationship managers and credit staff.
• Partner with senior leadership to strengthen ABL policies, processes and infrastructure.
• Support portfolio diversification into traditional industries, providing receivables and inventory financing in the sub-$20 million transaction market.
• Balance business development with portfolio oversight and leadership; 40% BD and 60% portfolio management by year one.
