Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York seeks an experienced Lead Credit Officer for Asset Based Lending Credit Risk. You will be integral to the risk governance framework, underwriting complex ABL transactions, and managing a portfolio of corporate clients.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with Banking Teams, and maintain credit files, while responding to regulatory requests and providing clear risk insights to senior management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial banking, credit risk, or underwriting with ABL knowledge.
• Strong understanding of capital markets, financing structures, derivatives, and cash management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to think critically and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of ABL clients, monitor performance trends and covenant compliance.
• Perform due diligence for loans, derivatives, leases, and cash management.
• Assess internal ratings, risk, and mitigation; adjust structure as needed.
• Interpret collateral appraisals; monitor collateral liquidity and reserves.
• Lead ABL credit structuring and legal negotiations, and handle amendments/waivers.
• Coordinate with Banking Teams and ABL Originations, Syndications, DCM, Treasury, Derivatives, Loan Ops.
• Communicate with Senior Management and regulatory bodies; maintain credit files.
• Train and mentor junior team members.
