Job summary

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a Systems Structure Design Engineer -5G Air Interface Call Processing in Plano, TX. You will develop system and feature requirements for virtualized networks, perform performance analysis, and lead a multi-disciplinary team through product rollouts.

You will analyze 4G/5G call protocols, support pre-sales engagements with carriers, and mentor the team as a systems architect, with occasional travel to customer sites and Samsung HQ as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in EE/CS; Advanced degree beneficial.
• 8+ years of wireless industry experience required.
• Strong knowledge of 5G concepts (Hybrid Beamforming, Massive MIMO, interworking LTE-NR).
• Experience with 3GPP Rel-16/17 features and RAN architectures.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into system requirements and design details.
• Lead analysis and troubleshooting of 4G/5G Wireless Call Protocols.
• Provide expert technical support in pre-sales and develop technical solutions.
• Collaborate across R&D, Systems Eng., and validation teams for deployments.
