Job summary

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a senior technical role in Plano, TX to drive 4G/5G feature development, system design, and performance optimization. You will engage with customers, translate requirements into concrete designs, and lead cross‑functional teams across SEA and Samsung HQ.

The role requires deep expertise in 3GPP RAN, LTE/NR interworking, and experience with AI tools to streamline RAN analysis. Strong communication and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering with 8-10 years of directly related experience required.
• A Master’s with 8+ years of experience preferred.
• 4G/5G call processing experience with deep knowledge of signaling protocols and related concepts.
• Hands-on with 3GPP RAN product architecture, design, and performance improvements.
• Experience with AI tools to aid RAN network analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of feature requirements, systems and performance analysis for 4G/5G features.
• Conduct customer sessions and translate requirements into system designs.
• Provide expert technical support in pre-sales and craft solutions to meet sales goals.
• Author technical proposals, research papers, and design documents.
