Job summary

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a Network Integration Engineer in Plano, TX to coordinate acceptance of 4G/5G software releases and lead field test activities. You will plan resources, track deliverables, and manage risks to meet milestones while collaborating with SEA and Samsung HQ teams.

Qualifications

• (1) working on LTE/5G performance projects;
• (2) Working in the wireless industry, including working in LTE/5G;
• (3) 3GPP systems: Core and RAN networks;
• (4) Hardware and software architecture;
• (5) 5G/4G concepts including Hybrid Beamforming, Massive MIMO, New Waveforms, LTE-NR interworking & co-existence, 5G Numerologies;
• (6) RAN Virtualization (VNF) and OA&M Systems;
• (7) Local Redundancy and Geographic redundancy solutions;
• (8) Radio Frequency and data network protocols.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with a team of technical staff responsible for acceptance of 4G/5G software releases and new solutions.
• Manage field acceptance testing and support, resource planning, task assignment, tracking deliverables, and risk management to ensure product deliverables are met.
• Perform hands-on analysis of network performance issues (air interface, call processing) and create solutions to meet optimization expectations.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering and Operations on antenna site configurations and RF equipment parameters.
• Communicate PA team budget, milestones, and deliverables to project management and implement plans to achieve milestones within budget.
• Educate customers on Samsung’s new products and services individually and in a team environment; ensure commitments are achieved.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronic Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent
