Qualifications

15+ years of CNC machining experience in turbo machinery components.
Experience machining castings, forging or 3D printed hardware using 5 axis CNC, and EDM machines.
High School Diploma.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and Microsoft Office (2 years programming experience).
Strong technical skills in GD&T & blueprints.
Strong experience with turning/lathes.
Some experience working with Heat Resistant Super Alloys (Nickel Alloys).
Experience with OKUMA and Makino multi axis CNC equipment preferred.
Excellent problem solving, organizational, communication and teamwork skills.
Exposure to working within a facility quality systems and codes (ex. ISO 9001, AS9100).
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S.Citizenship is required, as only U.S.Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

Setup and run 3-axis and 5-axis CNC vertical machining centers and CMM equipment.
Develop machining fixtures for complex aerospace components.
Program CNC equipment on-line and off-line.
Quote machining work for internal and external customers.
Maintain accurate and legible records of production work and results.
Uphold a high degree of work-area cleanliness (daily and weekly) and organization.
Explore opportunities to add value to the organization.
Perform preventative and proactive maintenance on various shop equipment.
Understand and identify EH&S hazards, risks and controls of the machine shop operations and activities at the site.
Ensure full compliance with EHS and Quality requirements.
Allocate tooling to be ordered for jobs.
