Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a Senior Machinist to independently set up and run 3-axis and 5-axis CNC centers and CMMs for precision aerospace components. You will develop fixtures, participate in quotes, and maintain detailed production records in a fast-paced shop.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CNC experience, strong GD&T skills, and a proven ability to read engineering drawings. Must be a US citizen eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal technical or trade training in machining or manufacturing preferred.
• 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience independently setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines.
• Experience reading blueprints with GD&T and dimensional inspection techniques.
• Experience machining complex components such as castings, forgings, or additively manufactured parts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently setup and run 3-axis and 5-axis CNC centers and CMM equipment.
• Develop and optimize machining fixtures for complex aerospace components.
• Support quoting of machining work for internal and external customers.
• Maintain accurate production records, setup sheets, and documentation.
• Ensure work area cleanliness and 5S compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve machining processes, efficiency, and quality.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on shop equipment.
• Identify EH&S hazards and ensure proper mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, quality systems, and manufacturing standards.
• Select tooling and ensure readiness for production.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues.
