Zoox is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our shop, interfacing with engineers and craftspeople to build hardware systems for vehicle, compute, sensor, and test fleets. The role emphasizes collaborating across disciplines, ensuring precise 5-axis machining, fixture design, and data-driven data management.

The ideal candidate has extensive 5-axis CNC experience, mastery of Heidenhain/Siemens controls, strong CAD skills, and a proactive problem-solving mindset within a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a 5-axis CNC mill machinist.
• 10+ years of experience as a CNC programmer with CAM and 3D simulation.
• Familiarity with Heidenhain and Siemens CNC controls.
• Strong CAD skills.
• Understand and interpret GD&T and dimensional drawings.
• Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions to challenging problems.
• Experience with HyperMILL CAM software.
• Knowledge of JIRA, SolidWorks, CATIA, 3DX, ENOVIA.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture parts from prototypes to short-run production in various materials.
• Program 5-axis CNC machines using HyperMILL.
• Design and machine fixtures to hold components during machining operations.
• Set up and tear down of CNC machines.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to gather required data.
• Assist in ordering materials and tools for the machine shop.
• Develop and maintain digital tooling and workholding databases.
• Provide DFM feedback to engineering on machined components.
