Job summary

Praxy is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to analyze orders, drawings, and blueprints, and to program, test, and optimize CNC processes to meet customer specifications. The role encompasses writing and testing programs, setting up tooling, and ensuring first-piece quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

105-7 years of CNC programming experience is preferred; you will also manage program libraries, CAM and CAD tools, and collaborate with Quality to maintain tolerances and improve

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in CNC programming, machine tool programming, or related field is required.
• 4-7 years of CNC programming experience is required; strong preference for manufacturing/production environments.
• Proficient in writing programs from blueprints and/or solid models for CNC Swiss turning machines.
• 1-3 years CAM programming experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Program, test, run and revise machine programming to meet customer specifications.
• Set up machine with correct tooling to build product precisely and efficiently.
• Writes programs from blueprints and/or solid models for CNC machines with Swiss turning programming.
• Loads electronic files onto the machine.
• Monitors and verifies the accuracy of each job’s initial set-up and outcome.
• Responsible for machine performance and product outcome of assigned projects.
• Revises programs and documents based on engineering changes and maintains program library.
• Performs first piece inspection and coordinates with Quality Inspector for approval.
