Job summary

RTCA is seeking a CNC Programmer for onsite work in Fife, WA, to develop programs for 3–5 axis machining centers and lathes. The role emphasizes process improvement, tool selection, and CAD/CAM data handling within an aerospace-focused manufacturing environment.

The candidate will collaborate with tool, manufacturing, quality, and production teams, ensuring efficient production and adherence to QA plans, with strong emphasis on accuracy and multi-tasking in a high‑precision shop.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience using Mastercam.
• 5+ years’ CNC machining operation experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; organized and able to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop machine processes and programs for 3, 4 and 5-axis machining centers and CNC lathes.
• Assist in process improvement and cost reductions through productivity improvements.
• Write and maintain CNC programs for multi-axis lathes and mills using CAD/CAM systems.
• Analyze drawings to determine cuts, tools, speeds and feeds; test programs on mills and lathes.
• Ensure synchronization of software revisions with customer requirements and participate in QA plans.
