Job summary

RTCA is seeking Machinist I-III to join our precision aerospace and defense manufacturing team in Fife, WA. You will set up and operate CNC and manual machines, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet strict specifications.

The role covers a range from Machinist I to III with increasing responsibility, including multi-axis capability, process optimization, and collaboration with Quality and Engineering. Weekend swing shift is from 5:00pm to 5:00am, Friday through Sunday, at our Fife site.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC or manual machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and height gages.
• Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, tooling, feeds, speeds, and offsets.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic machining and production issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up multiple machines onsite in a full-time role.
• Follow company safety, quality, and aerospace manufacturing standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and engineering drawings.
• Use precision instruments to verify part conformance and document quality.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations to achieve goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
