Job summary

RTCA is seeking a CNC Programmer to design and implement machining processes for 3, 4 and 5-axis centers, lathes, and multi-axis mills at our Fife, WA facility. You will collaborate with tool, manufacturing, quality and production teams to optimize programs and reduce cycle times while maintaining strict aerospace standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years using Mastercam and operating CNC machines, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ Experience using Mastercam
• 5+ years’ CNC machining operation experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop machine processes and programs for 3, 4 and 5-axis machining centers and CNC lathes
• Interface with tool engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, and production personnel
• Analyze part drawings to determine dimensions and cuts; select tools and determine speeds/feeds
• Create and maintain CNC programs for multi-axis lathes and mills using CAD system
• Write instruction sheets and tool lists for setup and operation
• Run and debug CNC programs on mills and lathes; adjust as needed
• Revise programs to correct errors or omissions; implement tooling improvements
