The role emphasizes cycle-time reduction, quality, and collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams. This position requires 5+ years of CNC programming, proficiency in Mastercam or Siemens NX CAM, and a proven aerospace machining track record.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years CNC programming experience, incl. 3+ years on 5-axis machines.
• Proficient in G-code/M-code and CNC controls.
• Experience with aerospace materials and drawings GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Create, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for 5-axis centers.
• Interpret aerospace drawings, 3D CAD models, GD&T and specs.
• Develop efficient machining strategies for aluminum, titanium, Inconel, stainless steel.
• Generate setup sheets, tooling docs, and work instructions.
• Support machine setup, prove-outs and first article inspections.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Eng., Quality and Production.
• Troubleshoot issues to reduce scrap and improve productivity.
• Perform machining simulations and collision checks.
• Optimize cycle times, tool life, and machine utilization.
• Support continuous improvement and ensure AS9100 compliance.
